Weekend in Charleston and Happenings

Hey y'all! I hope everyone had a good weekend! Here's a little look-see into what has been happening around here lately.....

Good news: I finished up my labs! Woo hoo! Bad news, we had to throw allll of this stuff away :( Here's almost everything I was able to make including suppositories, ointments, you name it. If you can think of it, it was probably made haha.  So much fun!

Free Coffee a couple of weeks ago had me a little excited. I love coffee. I was forced to cheat on my marriage to starbucks because I love the word 'free' even more haha
Keith and me on Easter. Love this boy so much!
This past weekend we went to Charleston for my mom's birthday. We love the city and we usually take several trips there per year. But when we actually have an occasion, such as birthdays, it makes it even more fun!  Neither my mom or Keith are big fans of selfies but lucky for me, Keith just can't say no ;)
One of the main reasons we go: the Market Place. Here, they have local vendors who usually sell things and make crafts. Here's the front:
The Gullah culture in Charleston is so rich. My mom loves these baskets. It pretty neat how they're made too; it is truly a craft, passed down from generation to generation. Considering it was 85 degrees and about 10,000 other travelers around, I didnt want to be that creepy girl with the camera haha. So I found this one online. One lady said it can take her as many as 4 months to hand weave one basket!

One thing about Charleston, SC is it is pretty hot but people come from all over to view the sites and look in the little shops. One of the things that makes Charleston unique are these guys. There are horse drawn carriages that go around and show everyone the best shops and attractions. I usually feel so bad for the horses though. They always look so sad :(

So as a tribute to poor Mr. Horse we stopped inside of one of the local ice cream shops on market street. They make their own waffle cones and it was smelling up the joint. I mean how can you say no to that?

I am pretty sure this is what heaven looks like. :)
I have been hearing about this flavor of ice cream for a few months now from various people and all I could think about how disgusting sea salt and caramel would be. Ew. But then I tried it. and Oh. My. Lord! I got a big ol' scoop! Sooooo good y'all. Seriously delish!!
Y.U.M!
And just for kicks and giggles, I saw this picture on instagram and I was cracking up! This pretty much sums up my reaction to the Scandal finale too hahaha!

This Friday is pinspired! Yay so get excited y'all. See you then!

My DVR

Happy Monday!
Television (oh I love that word)  has always been my ultimate addiction (other than chocolate and coca cola). It helps me keep my sanity. Since starting pharm school I have come to appreciate my DVR even more than before (since we all know school is a funsucker ;)) ! Here are a few things I really can't live without...
via
I have been watching this show since I was 9 years old and I am still addicted! It usually starts mid-summer like late just/early July and lasts all the way until September.  It is seriously one of the high lights of my summer.
via
Love love love Survivor! I have been watching this show since I was 11 haha! It was love at first sight ;)
Scandal.
I have to admit, I was a skeptic at first. I caught it mid-season and I just did not get it and what all the hull-a-baloo was about. It just seemed like a random mess to me. But then. It came on Netflix. And oh.my.word. I can say I am addicted to Shonda (the writer) just like the rest of America. If y'all havent seen an episode its not too late! Its still on Netflix ;)

This is another show I was a little skeptical about at first but it too was on Netflix! I started watching it and it seriously describes my life in a nutshell haha! Meridith's first day at the hospital pretty much sums up my life as a Pharmacy student and intern. ;)
I danced for about 10 years so it will always have a special place in my heart. Abby Lee Miller is cray cray but in a good way. She's so passionate about her job and this show seems like a real reality show. No filter. We see the highs and the lows. I love this show. Absolutely love

This show is the perfect balance of reality and sitcom-y and I love it!
Thank you DVR and Netflix!

Thanks Andrea for this awesome idea! Be sure to check out her list here!  Have a good week!

Happy Birthday Cubby

For the past 2 years, this little guy has brought so much joy to our lives.
I love my bear.

Cubby was supposed to be a present from Keith to celebrate me graduating from Clemson. Oh but he became so so much more than that!
Cubby: 8 weeks and 3 days. As y'all can tell, he wasn't too sure about us yet haha

But it didn't take long for him to make himself right at home. (Sidenote: some of these were taken by my old blackberry so they aren't the best quality. Sorryyy)

We all had one thing in common right off the bat! #sleeplovers

For the past 2 years, Cub has been a great sleeper. For the most part :)

And poser

~4 months here. Tear* He was so tiny.

He's also been a great study buddy

For Anatomy

For the PCAT.
These were usually our feelings about studying in general. He gets me ;)
and co-pilot ;)

He has an exhausting, tough life. (By the way, yes, he has his own fan)

Happy birthday Cubby!

Pinspiration

Today I am linking up with Shay, Mel, and Sheaffer for a little 'Pinpiration'. Here in S.C the weather is so bipolar. One day it can be 80 degrees and the next day it will be a blizzard. Seriously. So I am all about layers.
Look #1

I love this dress and it's 40% off Yay! It's so light weight and perfect for days when you'll be out most of the day. I usually pair it with sandals  or toms depending on how it feels that morning.
Look #2. Perfect for a casual dinner or day at work.
I decided to pair mine with red pants instead of pink since it just seemed more fitting (no pun intended)
 Cardigan
Shirt
(I have had this shirt for forever so I couldnt find the exact one but the link show a similar one)
Pants
Grr. I searched high and low for these exact pants but I couldnt find them. Boo! I got them this time last year so that may be why. But here is the exact style just in a different color :)
Sandals

Thanks for reading y'all. Happy Wednesday :)
