My Class Schedule

Woohoo we are half way done with this semester!!! Yay. This semester is hard y'all. I really feel like there are literally not enough hours in the day to do anything except for breath hahaha.
I am taking 19 course hours this semester. NINETEEN! I have only done this once before while in undergrad--but that was by choice. This one is not. In pharmacy school, there is one set curriculum that everyone follows so these course hours are, well, mandatory which hopefully explains my MIA-ness that has been going on lately :)

My course schedule looks like this:

Mondays and Wednesdays: lab and therapeutics
Tuesdays: Pharmacy law and Pharmacy outcomes
Thursdays: Rotation!
Friday: Pharmacy outcomes, Elective,  and therapeutics.

I am taking 5 courses of therapeutic modules. Which isn't really a change from before but this time they are from 1:30-4:45 in the afternoon. That's a long time to sit through a class...its just as long in real life as it seems on paper ha! Each module is 2 hours each...but they are only 2-4 weeks a piece. Its pretty intense.
I am also taking a course on South Carolina pharmacy law which is super interesting--but hard to keep up with because there are A LOT of laws. Luckily, many of them have been in place for quite some time so hopefully they won't change too much once I start practicing.

My elective is all about ways to help people in things like Diabetes which I love. So soo many avenues to go through in order to reach the goal of better management. So if you have a question about Diabetes I'm your gal ;)

Pharmacy outcomes is....different. Its not about how to treat what or what's used for such and such. It is a course that we learn all about literature. What studies were published? Who published them? Why is one drug better than another when treating sleep stuff? Has anyone ever tried this drug and compared it to this one? I like it but don't love it haha but of course I have to take it. Bleh.

And then there is my rotation. This time around it is all day on Thursdays in a retail setting which I am most comfortable with so its pretty easy to catch on and it was only for half of the semester. The down side is the same as any pharmacy job--standing all the live-long-day. Thankfully I finished up this past Thursday and it was bitter sweet. On on hand, I was super excited to be done with giving up 8 hours but on the other hand I was sad because this was my last intermediate rotation. Next up with be my advanced ones that I have to do for fourth year! It's almost like closing one chapter and opening another.

There are some days that time just seems to stand still. But then there are other days when I wonder where the time went. Which if I am being honest is usually on the weekends. I can not wait to see what the rest of this adventure has in store!

Show + Tell Tuesdays: Ways to Winning my Heart

With Valentine's day just around the corner, today I am linking up with Andrea to share ways to winning my heart!
One of the main ways to win my heart is through giving! and I'm not necessarily talking about materialistic things.
I will be the first to say that I can be a tad picky at times. I am one of those people who, during the holidays, would much rather receive a gift card or a simple "Merry Christmas" rather than a random flower pot that was on clearance at Michaels :).
Even though I love a good gift card, I would much rather a simple 'thank you' rather than an elaborate gift.
Around this time last year, I shared how Keith and I met and I can honestly say I love him more and more every day. I could go on and on about the ways he steals my heart daily but in a nut shell, he gets me. Keith knows the exact route to my heart even though it changes daily hahaha. Whether it be staying up late, midnight or 3 am, with me or going over the drugs for the entire endocrine system he just gets it which is one of the many reasons why I love him so.
And my mama. My original bestie :).  Although my mom and I talk daily, every morning she asks me if I am dressing warm and every evening she will ask me if I have eaten anything. :) She will also randomly stop by startbucks and get me a drink 'just in case' I need a little pick me up.
These two keep me going for sure and I absolutely love those constant reminders of grace and faith and blessings that I have daily.
