Summer-in Review!

via
Is it just me or does it seem like summer is the shortest season of them all? This summer has been so much fun but alas it is coming to an end. In just 2 short weeks, I will be back at school for my P2 year. Although fall is one of my favorite seasons, I am still sad to see summer go. When I think of summer I think of relaxation: sleeping in late, going to movies with Keith, hanging out with friends, and lazy afternoons drinking sweet tea for me...lemonade for Keith. The majority of my summer, I was able to intern at my old job back home. The upside is being able to do what I love day in and day out. The downside is...
...working on the holidays. Here I am celebrating Independence Day as a hostage in the pharmacy ;)

This summer we also....
  • Picked strawberries
  • I tried peach pancakes at the Original Pancake house and boy were they delicious! This was only a 'half stack' but I really wish I'd gotten a whole. So so yummy!
  • Shared a Coke. I love this campaign! Thank you Coca Cola :)
  • Went on vacation
  • Went to see a few movies
  • Did lots of reading
  • Celebrated one sweet girl
  • Fell in love with my favorite cereal all over again
  • Volunteered for a Tri!
  • Spent some Q.T with this sweet guy

  • And this one

  •  Watched Big brother! Its no secret how much I lovveee me some BB!

  •  This summer my mom and some of her co-workers found a bald eagle! His wing had been clipped and they were taking him as a rescue. Apparently he was super mean but so beautiful. She sent me these pics. She has the coolest job!

Each year I love to reflect on what I was doing the year before and how I've grown or not grown etc. This time last year I was just about to go into my first year of Pharmacy school. I was eager and nervous at the same time....I didnt really know what to expect! I tried to block out all of the negative aspects--people telling me it would be super hard, the cost, the distance from my family and Keith etc, and focus on the positive aspects--that I was going to get another degree...a doctorate, the fact that I was going to  better myself. I have been able to meet so many new friends and reconnect with old ones. I have been able to build a stronger relationship with Jesus which I am most proud of..this is a continued work in progress. As much as I love the lazy summer days, I am definitely looking forward to being on a schedule again. and getting through another school year!
